Every parent wants their child to succeed in school but we know that sometimes it can be a challenge to parent a gifted child. Finding the appropriate activities, resources and materials to keep them interested can be time-consuming. Gifted children need to be appropriately challenged so that they are engaged in their learning and continuously making progress.
Specialized Programs
Shark Acceleration Program
The Shark Acceleration Program brings together the best elements of the GEARS and GEM pathways, along with additional high school credit options, to create a challenging and engaging academic experience. Students are immersed in advanced coursework designed to strengthen analytical thinking and promote high academic achievement. The GEARS Science strand—Gifted Education and Academic Resource Services—offers specialized instruction and enrichment for gifted students, nurturing innovation, leadership, and higher-level problem-solving. The GEM Mathematics program—Great Explorations in Mathematics—condenses the traditional three-year middle school math sequence into an accelerated, one-year course of study. Collectively, these opportunities inspire students to maximize their abilities while preparing them for advanced coursework and long-term academic success.
